Mallory Minerson, MA, LPN Drama Therapist, Licensed Practical Nurse Mallory is a drama therapist, licensed practical nurse, and theatre professional, with a keen interest in creative arts therapy research. Most recently she has been a Child & Adolescent Mental Health Therapist for Alberta Health Services, and previously has worked in New York City at Bellevue Hospital in Forensic Psychiatry and outpatient day treatment in the Bronx. Her thesis Musica Humana: A Therapeutic Musical Theatre Performance Thesis- The Somatic Journey from Dissociation to Integration was recently published by ProQuest. Mallory’s extensive theatre background includes performance, direction, stage management, choreography, design and arts management. She has been seen on Calgary stages such as Alberta Theatre Projects, Stage West for Kids, Lunchbox Theatre and many others. Mallory also has contributed to curriculum creation and facilitation for Quest Theatre School, Calgary Actors’ Studio, Aventa Addictions Treatment for Women, Langdon Theatre Association, Puddle of Mud, Three Left Feet, Annex Children’s Theatre in Education (Toronto), as well as being an Artist in Residence with Trickster Theatre and independently for the Calgary Board of Education. She has also been a private coach and musical theatre instructor. Mallory is currently transitioning to working in Calgary, as a clinical drama therapist, and will be pursuing continued academic research. |
